Michelle Durpetti, LCSW, EAP Director, has been working in the human service field for over 20 years. She has a Master of Social Work degree from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Psychology from Southern Illinois University. Michelle has a very well rounded background as she has worked in a variety of settings including specialties such as traumatic brain injury, chronic mental illness, foster care, domestic violence, trauma and family outreach. She has received extensive training and specializes in working with law enforcement, EMS personnel and firefighters.
Michelle has an extensive background in providing training and workshops to assist individuals in skill development and enhancement. She has been highly regarded as a speaker on Workplace Bullying and Leadership development. Her style has been described by others as “dynamic and engaging”. Michelle’s other specialties include speaking on stress, communication and conflict resolution as well as a wide variety of team building activities to enhance the cohesion of any group.
Michelle has served on the board for the Society for Human Resource Management in positions as Programs Chair and Workforce Readiness Advocacy. She also served as a volunteer for Royal Family Kids Camp.
